Danijela Popović
Performing art and life
I waited.
Silence.
He didn’t come.
I waited every day.
I was gone from the mirror.
Invisible as I was, I moved to another city. The only city that’s on the
other side of the vast ocean.
Not even death can separate people like the ocean does.

“My acting has a musical carpet under its feet”
We all break down expressing ourselves. We recount other people’s stories and thoughts. And we own them. This is the last cry of fashion, says Serbian-American actress Danijela Popović, author of the monodrama “When It Hurts, You Play”

“Music is the language of the soul”
What is art to you?
Art must inspire, intrigue, imagine, uplift, encourage, laugh, sadden, remind. To share the deepest feelings with beauty, lightness and form, the language spoken by an artistic being, to people on whom it will leave a lasting impression!
I often stay seated in the theater after the performance. It’s as if the real process begins only after the end.
